STUDY ABROAD

Study abroad is a dream of many students. They think that study in a foreign country is really challenging. There are several advantages and disadvantages of studying in a oversee university.

The advantages of study abroad are many. Some of them are as follow. First, access of library. I believe that an excellent university will provide a huge number of books for students. The books will facilitate them to develop their knowledge and to broaden their understanding about a certain subject. The library will give the chance for students to read, copy, or even borrow the books. Hence, the more diligent the students visit the library, the more the information they get. Second, warming professors. The students can access professors during office hours if they have a particular problem. They can consult with them about the materials in the class or even discussing a personal handicap. Most professors will be available for their students and are willing to help them overcome their problems.

On the other hand, there are some disadvantages experienced by a foreign student that should be taken into account. First, adaptation is the most common challenge. A student should adapt with the current situation, such as their meal, housing, and friends. It is not easy for students to eat something that they are not accustomed to. Also, they have to prepare their mind to stay together with the completely different partners. They have to adjust quickly if they want to be safe from adaptation suffer. Once they can establish a good relationship with food as well as friend, they may become comfortable with the new situation. Second, missing the family. When staying in other country, they will feel lonely. They cannot meet their family. Some students who usually depend much on their family, will suffer from loneliness feeling. If they cannot overcome this problem, they will decide to return to their home country regardless their study. Of course, it will make them loose their chance to be quality people.

Finally, study in an oversea country has advantages as well as disadvantages. Nevertheless, I am certainly sure that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, study abroad should be one choice for people who want to advance their knowledge and experience.
